The above image was taken from All About Vision.

  1. Oval: Highlight brow bone and cheekbone. Contour temple, below cheekbone and jawline.
  2. Inverted triangle: Highlight chin, forehead and underneath eyes. Contour temples and cheeks. This draws attention to the centre of the face and diminishes the width.
  3. Rectangular: No highlight or contouring should be applied because this makes the face appear longer.
  4. Round: Highlight forehead, under eyes and cheekbones. Contour temples, cheeks and jawline to create the illusion of an oval.
  5. Square: Highlight centre of forehead, under eyes and cheekbones. Contour hairline at the corners and jawline at the corners. This diminishes the square shape and makes it appear more oval,
  6. Diamond: Highlight forehead, under eyes and chin. Contour cheeks.
  7. Triangle: Highlight forehead, under eyes, cheekbones and chin. Contour jawline and under cheekbones.
